The family is also covered in Elise Jourdan's Early Families of Southern Maryland Vol 1, Revised, and Robert Barnes' Colonial Families of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Also the family is covered in part in Descendants of Richard and Elizabeth (Ewen) Talbott of Popular Knowle, West River, Anne Arundel County Maryland,Compiled by Ida Morrison (Murphy) Shirk and Harry Wright Newman's Anne Arundel Gentry Vols. 2 & 3. This page also includes some branches of descendants that are not in the above mentioned references, such as Thomas Belt (b. 1740, son of Joseph) who migrated to Iredell Co., NC and Sarah Belt who married William Peddicord. Researchers interested in the Belt family should check the above resources for more information on the family.
